Hi!  This is Athena The Wonder Dog and I am doing my best dog food picks of the day and I get to do TREATS!!!  I get to do treats because I helped my dad this morning with the recycling and garbage cans.  I had to do all of the work…AGAIN!  My mom got a video of me working so hard, just to prove it to you!  She is uploading it to Youtube right now and then you can see it here!!  I am really excited.  I’m so excited I could go VIRAL.  I mean I could go viral from being so excited.

I got so excited I almost forgot my pick of the day!!  This is my very favorite treat of ANY…for now.  It is Newman’s Own Organics The Second Generation Snack Sticks for Dogs Chicken and Vegetable Recipe.  Oh my gosh!  I can’t believe how much I love these.  I have tried them 2 different ways over 3 different days and I just can’t stop eating them!  Well, I have to stop when my mom and dad close the bag up and hide them.  THEN I stop eating them.  They are not crunchy but that is OK.  They are chewy and I have discovered I like chewy even more than crunchy.  These treats taste good even if they’re just tiny bits of the treat.  My mom said to tell you the sticks are scored so you can break them into smaller treatlets (I just made that word up, treatlet and I think THAT may go viral.  I’m not sure what viral is but I know I want to go there…I can just tell.)  If your Wonder Dog doesn’t go crazy for these snacks there is something seriously wrong.

Athena The Wonder Dog

Hi! I am Athena The Wonder Dog and I am going to pick the best dog food of the day. I wanted to do best dog treat today but I am going to be mature and pick food, not treats.  (My mom said she’d give me my NEW favorite treat if I’d write about food instead so that is what I’m doing.)

My go to best dog food is Newman’s Own Organics Adult Dog Formula.  You know what I like the best (beside the taste, of course) is the pieces are cute little triangles and I call them cookie food.  Each bit is like a tiny cookie!! (I think you know how I feel about cookies.)  My eyes almost pop out when my dad fills my bowl and I see all of those little cookies in my Athena The Wonder Dog bowl.  I am very good.  I don’t eat them all at once.  I take each piece individually and very daintily crunch them.  The best dog food needs to be savored.  I never just gobble my food down…uh, just don’t ask my dad about that.  He gets pretty confused sometimes (like when he thinks I’m gaining weight!  He is VERY confused on that subject).

You may notice a lot of the food I eat is organic.  My mom and dad taught me that.  After all, I need to stay away from toxic things.  Just remember I have to walk around everywhere outside with no shoes on (no Mom, it does not mean I want any “booties” on my paws) and walk where cars and exhaust have been and on grass that has petrochemicals so I have to make up for it somewhere and that is why most of the food I eat is organic.

I can hardly wait until tomorrow.  My review will be a best dog treat pick.  It is my new favorite–not sure it will be my forever favorite but it certainly is right now.

Athena The Wonder Dog

Hi! I’m Athena the Wonder Dog.  I am too excited to eat right now or to pick the best dog food of the day even.  I have a very important announcement to make.

Here it comes…

I am a hero–no, no actually I’m a heroine (that’s because I’m a girl).  I will be happy to tell you all about it.

I was taking my dad for his daily 1-1/2 hour walk and workout (I will tell you if I did not walk him every day I don’t know what he would do.  Probably play his guitar all day!! ) (I just don’t get it.  He plays and plays the guitar when he could be petting me or giving me treats or cooking.  I really like cooking…especially if it’s for me!) and we were walking down the sidewalk when suddenly a big raccoon came rambling out of the woods.  It is a very large raccoon that wanders through our yard–I’m sure he is after my Athena The Wonder Dog’s Best Dog Food Picks testing food and treats.  I just KNOW it in my bones (and I don’t mean my chew bones).

Even though I can tell he is a very greedy raccoon who would take Athena The Wonder Dogs treats I was concerned for his safety so I tried to run up to him and tell him to stay out of the street–I ran up to him very fast because I was very worried he might get hit by a car so I ran as hard as I could to warn him and he jumped up and ran across the street (without checking both ways).  My dad says I SAVED THAT RACCOON’S LIFE by making it run fast so a car wouldn’t hit it.  I heard him tell my mom.  He didn’t say it exactly that way but that’s what he meant.

The excitement has been all too much for me.  I’m off to take a nap on my nunny nest.  (More about that later!)

Hi!  I’m Athena the Wonder Dog and  I am going to choose my Best Dog Treat of the Day.  I was on strike yesterday but decided I owed it to my subscribers to let them know what treats are the best so THEIR dogs get to review the good stuff themselves!!

Today’s pick almost did not make it but not because it didn’t taste good!  Auntie Juanita and Auntie Debbie stopped by for a minute and saw my sample treats.  Auntie Juanita asked if she could give me one and mom told her they were for my review on best dog treats.  Auntie Juanita ripped the box open and THREW my treat on the FLOOR!  (I don’t know about you but I do not eat off the floor!)  I finally recovered from that and Auntie Juanita and Auntie Debbie left–but not before Auntie Debbie ate one of my cookies.  At least she said she was going to…

My pick for the Best Dog Treat of the Day is Max and Fluffy’s Mother Quinoa’s Pumpkin Patch flavor (they are organic).  They taste very good–they are just little bites–but not if your Aunties put them on the floor first.  Don’t let them do that.  Put your pretty little puppy foot down and just say “NO!”  Don’t put your foot down on the cookies though or there will be crumbs…the very thought makes me shudder.

Hi! I am Athena the Wonder Dog and I am not making a Best Dog Food Pick today because I am on strike.  It is all because of my Auntie Juanita.  She is upset because I mentioned my Auntie Lisa yesterday and wants to know when she is going to have nice things said about her.

I have a problem with Auntie Juanita.  She sometimes gives me a treat but she expects me to do a TRICK!!  I am not that kind of dog.  Auntie Lisa and my mom give me treats because they love me and they get happy because my treats make ME happy.  That is FUN!!

I know what would REALLY be fun…I’ll get some Ho-Ho’s and see what Auntie Juanita will do for them.

Athena The Wonder Dog

Hi! I’m Athena the Wonder Dog and today I’m going to tell you HOW I pick the best dog food and treats every day but I am not actually going to pick one today.

It is a very scientific process!  (I don’t know what that means but my mom says it and then rolls her eyes at me.)  Mom buys different kinds of food and treats for me and then I taste them.  If I don’t like them I spitooey them right out.  (Mom said she didn’t know dogs could spit!  Can you believe that?  Does she think I would just walk around with something in my mouth I didn’t like? No WAY.)

If I do like what I’m testing, I eat it all and then ask for another one.  If I really, really like it I ask for another and another until my dad tells my mom “Athena looks like she’s put on a little weight…”

You can trust me.  I will never, ever say I liked something I spitooeyed.  I promise you that.  That’s my Athena the Wonder Dog Oath.  I’m not sure what it all is going to be but I know that part for sure.

Athena the Wonder Dog

Hi!  This is Athena the Wonder Dog with today’s Best Dog Food Pick and today it is in the treat category again!  My mom lets me pick whatever I want to review for the day and I pick treats.  I should be able to pick treats whenever I want because I like the treats that taste good and are good for me AND besides, I ate my vegetables at lunch and some pumpkin with my dinner.  (Pretend I didn’t mention the pumpkin because that’s supposed to be a surprise for a different post!)

Ta Da—–My mom says that’s for a drum roll but I haven’t reviewed those yet so I’m not sure what they are but we’ll save those for another day too…….

My pick is … Castor & Pollux Organix Chicken Dog Cookies!  Don’t you just know something called a cookie is going to taste good?  Well, if you don’t I DO and they taste great.

My Auntie Lisa gives me these cookies whenever she is at our house and I ask for them.  Besides liking the way they taste I liked them because I thought they were cut out to be little fall leaves but Auntie Lisa said “No, silly, those are drumsticks!”  I don’t care.  I am still going to call them Leaf Cookies.

Tomorrow I am going to tell you how I pick my Athena The Wonder Dog Best Dog Food Pick of the Day.  Or maybe I’ll tell you something completely different.  I think I’m going to go to the kitchen and see if my mom has any of those drum rolls she was talking about.
